## Tricel Novo, Conder & Premier Tech Sewage Treatment Plant Servicing & Faults

The **Tricel Novo** (submerged aerated filter with fixed ceramic diffuser plates) and **Conder / Premier Tech Aqua (Rewatec Solido & Ecoflo)** are widely installed across rural new-builds and barn conversions in the UK. Because these compression-moulded SMC and GRP plants rely on continuous air diffusion across plastic bio-media blocks, skipping annual desludging causes primary solids to carryover and choke the aeration matrix.

| Tricel / Conder / Premier Tech Service | When Required | What Is Checked | 2026 Typical UK Cost |
| :--- | :--- | :--- | :--- |
| **Primary Chamber & Humus Tanker Desludge** | Every 12 Months (6–10 PE) | Sludge extraction leaving 20% seed biomass | **£195 – £275** |
| **Annual EN 12566-3 Service + Desludge** | Every 12 Months | Desludge + blower pressure test + airlift flush | **£245 – £350** |
| **Ceramic Diffuser / Air Hose Replacement** | Every 3–5 Years or Low Bubble Boil | Lifting diffuser lance, descaling & replacing stone | **£185 – £290** |
| **Blower Diaphragm & Chamber Rebuild** | Alarm sounding / Zero airflow | Secoh / Hiblow diaphragm & valve block kit | **£145 – £235** |

## How to Check Your Tricel Novo or Conder Plant in 2 Minutes

- **1. Inspect the Central Aeration Boil:** Open the middle inspection turret carefully. You should see a vigorous, rolling champagne-like bubble pattern across the black plastic filter media. If the water is dead calm while the blower is humming, either the blower diaphragm has ruptured or the underground airline connection has popped off.
- **2. Never Pump the Biozone Media Dry:** During routine emptying, the tanker operator must pump the **Primary Settlement Chamber** (first manhole) and skim settled humus from the **Final Settlement Chamber** (third manhole), leaving the central aerated media submerged.
